Imagine starting your day with a steaming cup of coffee, gazing out of your kitchen window at the lush greenery, only to be met with a heartwarming sight - a mama bear and her three adorable cubs frolicking right outside your back door. This extraordinary encounter has become rather common these days as the acorns fall from the big Oak Tree right out our back door.
Observing them from a safe distance, we struggle to get on with our daily chores! The mama bear kept a watchful eye on her young ones, ensuring they stayed out of harm's way while exploring their surroundings.
In a season where acorns are abundant, it was no surprise that these furry visitors decided to make a stop in search of food. We watched as first the cubs then the mama climbed the tree and proceeded to shake the acorns out of the tree! The cubs continued their meal on the plentiful acorns still in the tree... and then nap time!
After watching for nearly an hour, chores HAD to be done...and when I returned, the mama bear and her cubs had meandered back into the depths of the forest, leaving behind a sense of wonder... but perhaps they will be back for dinner!
So, the next time you hear a rustle in the trees or a gentle padding of paws outside your door, take a moment to stop and be aware of your surroundings and... appreciate the beauty of the world around you. You never know what surprise you might open the door to!
