Ruth and I got away from the house on Saturday for a pleasant hike in the Great Smoky Mountain national park. Meigs creek trail is just a 30 or 35 minute drive from Habakkuk House. The trail starts at the sinks. Every step is beautiful, but this trail features a great babbling brook starting at about 1.4 miles in. There are numerous creek crossings. Easy rock hopping this time, though it can difficult or impossible to keep your feet dry if there has been recent rain. Here’s Ruth crossing the creek. Scott.
